3. Cashback
Pionex provides up to 1% cashback rewards (no cap) for eligible spending, helping you achieve a near-zero-loss spending experience. Click here to learn more.
Case 1 - First Small Spending User A uses Visa Card at a clothing store to purchase a shirt and pants, priced at 61 MYR and 40 MYR respectively, totaling 101 MYR. Assuming the Visa exchange rate at that time is 1 USDT = 4.1822 MYR, the transaction amount is calculated as follows:
Transaction Amount = 101 / 4.1822 = 24.15 USDT Transaction Fee = 24.15 * 1% = 0.2415 USDT Small Payment Fee = 0 (transaction amount greater than 1 USD) Total Transaction Amount = 24.15 + 0.2415 = 24.3915 USDT
Additionally, since every purchase has 1% cashback, the user receives 24.3915 * 1% = 0.2439 USDT in cashback. In effect, User A's card account is only debited 24.3915 - 0.2439 = 24.1476 USDT.
Based on the above example, the 1% cashback offsets the 1% transaction fee, achieving an almost zero-loss spending experience.
Case 2 - Partial Refund Transaction Based on the above case, User A subsequently returns the pants (40 MYR) to the store. The user will receive a refund within 15 business days, approximately 40 / 4.1822 = 9.56 USDT. At the same time, the cashback amount already received will be deducted proportionally based on that item's share of the total transaction amount (cashback amount * item amount ratio = 0.2349 * (40/101) ≈ 0.0965 USDT). Therefore, the actual refund credited is approximately 9.56 - 0.0965 = 9.4635 USDT.
In the case of a full refund, the full cashback amount issued will be reclaimed.
Please note: Transaction fees will not be refunded.
Case 3 - Small Payment (Outside Promotional Policy Range) User B uses Visa Card to purchase an apple, priced at 0.2 USD. The transaction amount is calculated as follows:
Transaction Amount = 0.2 USDT (USDT:USD = 1:1) Transaction Fee = 0.2 * 1% = 0.002 USDT Small Payment Fee = 0.2 USDT Total Transaction Amount = 0.2 + 0.002 + 0.2 = 0.402 USDT
Case 4 - Transaction with Status "Payment Reversal" User C attempts to bind their Visa Card to PayPal. During binding, PayPal requires a small charge of 1 SGD to verify the card's validity. User C's Visa Card will be charged approximately 0.7878 USDT. Calculation as follows:
Transaction Amount = 0.78 USDT (using 1 USD = 1.282 SGD as example) Transaction Fee = 0.78 * 1% = 0.0078 USDT Small Payment Fee = 0 (assuming still within promotional policy range) Total Transaction Amount = 0.78 + 0.0078 = 0.7878 USDT
Subsequently, PayPal will refund this amount (1 SGD) to the user. At this point, the order status of this refund transaction is "Payment Reversal," and the 1% transaction fee will also be refunded to the user. The user's Visa Card will receive 0.7878 USDT.
Case 5 - Non-USD ATM Withdrawal User D uses Visa Card to withdraw 100 EUR from an ATM. Assuming the exchange rate at that time is 1 EUR = 1.17 USDT, User D's Visa Card account will be debited 119.34 USDT. Calculation as follows:
Transaction Amount = 117 USDT (100 * 1.17 = 117) Withdrawal Fee = 117 * 2% = 2.34 USDT Total Transaction Amount = 117 + 2.34 = 119.34 USDT
Please note: Some ATMs may charge an ATM access fee. Please refer to the relevant fees displayed on the ATM.

FAQ
Q: Why does it show insufficient balance when my Visa Card account has 100 USDT but I want to purchase a 99 USD item?
A: During a purchase, the Visa Card will first reserve 1% of the billed amount, 1% transaction fee, and a 0.2 USDT small payment fee, approximately 99 * 1.01 * 1.01 + 0.2 = 101.1899 USDT. For a better spending experience, it is recommended that you keep an additional 3–5% of the actual spending amount in your Visa Card account.
Q: The merchant shows the transaction failed, but my Pionex Card was charged.
A: This is because the merchant initiated an initial "pre-authorization charge." If the payment fails but the Pionex Card has already been charged, the amount will be refunded within 30 business days. You may attempt to use the card for payment again to complete the transaction.
Q: More than 30 days have passed and I still have not received a refund. What should I do?
A: Please obtain the ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) from the merchant, and contact Pionex customer service together with the ARN so we can assist in tracing the refund progress.
Q: Why am I being repeatedly charged a 0.5 USDT payment failure fee?
A: This is typically because you still have uncancelled subscription services or recurring charge settings, and the merchant continues to initiate payment requests while the card balance is insufficient, causing payment failure. Please contact the merchant directly to cancel the relevant subscription or stop the recurring charge. Re-applying for a Pionex Card will not resolve this issue.
Q: I have already frozen my Pionex Card. Why am I still being charged a 0.5 USDT payment failure fee? A: Freezing the Pionex Card cannot prevent payment requests initiated by merchants. Please contact the merchant to cancel the subscription service or stop the recurring charge to fundamentally resolve the issue.
Q: Why am I unable to make payments using my Pionex Card? A:
Pionex Card is a service for cryptocurrency payments. Some merchants, based on their risk policies regarding payment methods, may not support cryptocurrency payments. You may check whether there are any transaction records in the Pionex Card. If there are no transaction records, it means the merchant does not accept Pionex Card as a payment method.
